This year WotC changed the road to Worlds by adding several locations.  Alabama and Mississippi hosted their first chance to play for an invite to Nationals in August.  AL got 44 players and MS had 41.  I think this was a good start.  I think next year we will have twice the players and twice the fun!  Thanks to Damien and Michael for Head Judging MS and AL respectively.

Wow, Saturday April 4th Kite and Anchor hosted its biggest tournament so far with 142 players in the Coffee Shop and Game Stop in Oneonta, AL.  Thanks to Fred and his whole staff for a great venue.  Wes Terway did an awesome job as Head Judge and thanks to Jason, Blair, Damien and John for judging.

JT Henricks defeated Derrick Sheets in the final in a Naya Zoo mirror match of DOOM!  Thanks to all the players for making this such a wonderful event.  For PTQ-Austin season, June 6th we will be in Mobile, AL at the USA campus and we will return to Oneonta, AL on August 22nd.

Thanks for make States a huge success in TWO States.  We had 74 players in Montgomery, AL and 39 players in Jackson, MS.  Thanks to the host stores, Visions Cards & Games and Van's Comics & Cards.  Hopefully we will continue with State Champs for next year.  If we have it, I can promise it will be BIGGER and BETTER.

The first prerelease in Mobile, AL run by Kite and Anchor Events was a big success.  The Saturday venue was big and very nice.  Thanks to all the players.  We ran three full pods of about 32 players each and a 7 team 2HG sealed deck with two sanctioned booster drafts.  Thanks to Wes Treley for a great job as Head Judge and thanks to Brian Grimmer for being an excellent pod judge.  Jason Clements and Kevin Donnelly also performed quite well as assistant judges.

On Sunday, at Borderland Relics, we had pod of 26 players and a four team 2HG tournament.  Thanks to Jon and Don from the SSG for assisting.

Eventide prerelease is July 12th and July 13th and we will be back in Mobile.  Saturday will be at the Student Center at the University of South Alabama and Sunday we will return to Borderland Relics.
